Palestinian officials in Israeli-occupied West Bank's Qusra town, near Nablus city, said that Israeli settlers set two mosques ablaze in the area early on Sunday. 

Abdel Azim Wadi, mayor of Qusra, told AFP that settlers torched the under-construction Al-Rahma mosque in the southern part of the town, damaging its entrance and stonework, as well as construction equipment and materials. 

He added that the attackers spray-painted Hebrew graffiti on the mosque's walls, including the word "revenge.”

The Israeli military confirmed that troops had been sent to Qusra due to a report that a mosque had been set on fire. It further said that while indications of graffiti and arson had been identified at the scene, the suspects had fled by the time the troops arrived. Israeli police would investigate the matter, it added. 

Separately, the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said that a mosque had been graffitied with racist language and set on fire in the village of Kour, near Tulkarem. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA said Israeli occupiers stormed the village on Sunday.
